GET READY FOR YOUR ONLINE BREATHWORK SESSION

YOU WILL NEED:
CONNECTION // We’ll be meeting on ZOOM as I love to see as many of you as possible so I can properly hold space for you as you breathe.
A COMFY PLACE // We’ll be laying down flat (floor, yoga mat, bed, etc). You’ll be laying on your back for the session and won’t want any pillows underneath you if that’s comfortable for you.
A BLANKET // It’s normal for your temperature to fluctuate as you move stagnant energy so you may want a blanket or extra layer to put on
A JOURNAL & PEN // prior to the session we’ll work through some journaling activities to open you up and explore your soul a little bit. It’s also nice to have it close by to write down anything that comes to you in the session.
PREPARING YOURSELF AND YOUR SPACE
Yourself:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing
Don’t come on a full stomach
Come with an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to explore yourself and your potential a little deeper

Your Space:
You’ll want to make sure you are in a space that is comfortable for you. Breathwork can get vulnerable and we may have releases (sounds and crying - you’ll want to be somewhere that feels good for you.
Eye pillows are great for covering the eyes but not necessary
If you have anything that is special to you: candles, crystals, essential oils, whatever...please bring them along. The more comfortable you are the better
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Here’s what a typical session will look like:
Opening grounding & soul expanding meditation
Soul exploration work // Journaling exercise
Intro to breathwork and the breathing technique
Active Breathwork (15-35 minutes depending on the needs of the group)
Integration (where the magic happens)

Laura is not a health care professional and doesn’t claim to be, practicing this form of breathwork is doing so at your own risk. Know that you are in control of your breathing for the entirety of the session and can choose to come back to a ‘normal’ breath pattern at any time.
By agreeing to participate in Laura Murphy’s online breathwork session, you are acknowledging that you are at least 18 years of age or older, and have read the following waiver.
YOU ARE ADVISED NOT DO BREATHWORK IF YOU:
Have severe mental illness, diagnosis of schizophrenia, seizure disorders or are using major medications, blood thinning medicine or have experienced retinal detachment.
If you are pregnant and have not experienced breathwork before.
Significant recent physical injuries or surgery.
Significant history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma.
